I have never before tried to rank high in yahoo. Rather, I havent even bothered to submit my site to yahoo Search engine. I always give preference only to google.

What do you guys say about it, is yahoo still a waste of time?

Yea, Google is heading the market, even Bing doesn't stand a chance but you should put your site on yahoo too though, it might raise the site rank on google

Bing is totally, many good seo experts don't put it into their consideration.

Google has a wider and tougher site competition, and placing your website on this gigantic search engine might put your site to the lowest rankings if you're website is still building up with regards to its popularity. Try placing it on Yahoo, and your site will be guaranteed a higher spot because it has lesser registered websites, thus lowering site competition.

Prioritize your website's market and vision first, before you engage into competitive popularity rankings.

Thanks maywriter, you made me aware of yahoo. But heres a point, the more the competition, the bigger the prize.

If I rank high in google for a keyword, Ill get more traffic than compared to yahoo, though ill have to work harder to rank on google than ill have to with yahoo.

Me too. And I've gone so wild with Google. It helped me a lot in conditioning my blog at Blogger. Lol.

you use blogger? why dont you use wordpress, I think blogger is crap, and just bans the blog when ever they want.

Actually I have experienced such ban, and they thought my blog was filled with spams. But, I worked hard for it, and I got nothing. Still, they're not reviving it yet. I use both.
