Here is some useful tips that I am using foe new website.
I have divided my seo process in few parts.
On page Optimization
Off page optimization.
First I analysis keywords and start doing on page optimization with content optimization.
I am also adding some tracker in website.
After doing on page optimization I am doing off page submission including directory submission, blog posting, article submission.

2) Only target few major keywords and variants to each page.
3) Use keywords in your navigation link.
4) Optimize your title tag- It must be up to 70 characters long.
5) Optimize Meta description tag- maximum one or two sentences.
