 Re: Which sitemap format is bettr xml or txt? I think XML sitemap is better. It is a significant aspect of any website building/improvements project. It tells search engines where to search pages to index and improves the SEO of your site.

The XML format gives google a little more info about your site and the best parts of that is that it saves you some bandwidth and it helps them to focus on the pages you feel are most important. Using XML sitemap search engine crawler search the web pages priority,frequency and also show last modified date.It also helps as far as getting indexed faster by google.

Re: Which sitemap format is bettr xml or txt? I'm note sure which is more beneficial, I use xml hardly because that is what I have always expended. I do know that the txt file works pretty goodness for Yahoo so I imagine it is better to have them both.

Re: Which sitemap format is bettr xml or txt? I do not know what is best, I use XML just because that's what you always used. Txt file I know works pretty well for Yahoo, so I guess it is better to have both.

Re: Which sitemap format is bettr xml or txt? We only use three type of sitemap into the SEO. HTML sitemap this is used to increase the user experience. XML sitemap this is for search engine spider and image sitemap also for the search engine spider. I think XML sitemap is much better than other one.
