Post Re: What is google webmaster tool?
Web site owners and marketers have always yearned for more information about how Google sees your site. Google Webmaster Tools address these and other needs as they provide support to people seeking diagnose errors, improving a site's visibility and declare preferences on how to manage lists of websites.
Of course, before you can start using Webmaster Tools, you must have an active Google account. Once you have an account, you can start by having access to:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/
Verification
Before you can go too far, you need to tell Google which pages you want to have control over. Just enter the URL as instructed, and soon you will see that you need to verify the control of a site. You can choose to upload an HTML file blank, or paste a META tag in the head of his home page. Either way, it's a quick way to Google to make sure you have access to the domain before you can view all information.
The Panorama
Verified with your website, you can now access the profile of a website. You'll need to click on the Administration: http://www.yourdomain.com link in the Tools panel for webmasters. Then went to the "Description" of the screen. This screen contains the high-level details of the most important information on its website, as well as links to specific Webmaster Tools.
For the sake of clarity, we will work with the menu on the left, starting at the top and work our way ...
Diagnosis
Diagnostic tools are here to tell you about errors that Google has found in its normal state or at its mobile phone tracking. In other words, if GoogleBot came across your site and found some 404 errors, pages that were excluded in a robots.txt file, or other failures ... This is where you will find.
The mobile standard reports provide the same type of information. That is a breakdown of the following errors:
HTTP Errors
Not Found
URLs not followed
URLs restricted by robots.txt
URLs timed out
URL unreachable
Obviously, you want Google to find as few mistakes as possible. Therefore, you should check these reports often to make sure there is no problem and that all new content is indexed.
Statistics
Statistical tools are a gold mine for marketers of the site. Here, you can access a series of reports, each of which I will highlight below ...
Search Queries
The search for better consultation report shows how people are getting to your site from a Google search. Once accessed, you will see that the tables represent search queries most often returned pages from your site, and that they clicked. One of the interesting things we often overlook here is that Google will show where in the SERPs your site does not appear as search terms in particular. It is not always accurate, but tend to an accuracy of a position or two.
What Googlebot sees
This is a great way to learn how others link to you and how those links are taken together with the content of your page. There are three sections of this report ... phrases used in the external links to your site (anchor text), keywords in the content of your site and inbound links, and finally, the actual content of your site, sorted by density.
Crawl stats
The tracking statistics report less real statistics tracking, and more about PageRank values. Google breaks down your site and shows you how your site's PageRank is distributed in a range of low, medium, high - and "not yet assigned." Since this information is useful, it is often daunting to most pages on most sites will always so low on the scale of PageRank.
The best part of this tool is a bottom of the table shows what the specific page on your site has the highest PageRank. It is updated monthly and can be used to measure the success of the campaigns of link building are unique.
Statistics Index
The index statistics are nothing more than direct access to advanced queries using Google's site operators. Shortcut links are provided in the following operators ...

Google Webmaster Tools let you access data about the crawling and indexing of your website. This free feature does the following:

Displays Google's view of your site
Helps you diagnose site issues
Lets you share information with Google to improve your site's visibility in search engine results
Provides you with crawl statistics, recent queries, errors, and other information that Google collects about your site

We partnered with Google to give you a special Webmaster Tools account. After you enable your Google Webmaster Tools account, log in to your Hosting Control Center to:

View a list of the domain names in your Shared Hosting account
See the domain names for which Google verified registration
Request registration verification for your domain names
Launch your Google Webmaster Tools account

Google Webmaster Tools are largely for obtaining information, and you cannot use them to manage your site.
