Of course, before you can start using Webmaster Tools, you must have an active Google account. Once you have an account, you can start by having access to: https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ Verification Before you can go too far, you need to tell Google which pages you want to have control over. Just enter the URL as instructed, and soon you will see that you need to verify the control of a site. You can choose to upload an HTML file blank, or paste a META tag in the head of his home page. Either way, it's a quick way to Google to make sure you have access to the domain before you can view all information. The Panorama Verified with your website, you can now access the profile of a website. You'll need to click on the Administration: http://www.yourdomain.com link in the Tools panel for webmasters. Then went to the "Description" of the screen. This screen contains the high-level details of the most important information on its website, as well as links to specific Webmaster Tools. The mobile standard reports provide the same type of information. That is a breakdown of the following errors: HTTP Errors Not Found URLs not followed URLs restricted by robots.txt URLs timed out URL unreachable Obviously, you want Google to find as few mistakes as possible. Here, you can access a series of reports, each of which I will highlight below ... Search Queries The search for better consultation report shows how people are getting to your site from a Google search. Once accessed, you will see that the tables represent search queries most often returned pages from your site, and that they clicked. One of the interesting things we often overlook here is that Google will show where in the SERPs your site does not appear as search terms in particular. It is not always accurate, but tend to an accuracy of a position or two. What Googlebot sees This is a great way to learn how others link to you and how those links are taken together with the content of your page. There are three sections of this report ... phrases used in the external links to your site (anchor text), keywords in the content of your site and inbound links, and finally, the actual content of your site, sorted by density. Crawl stats The tracking statistics report less real statistics tracking, and more about PageRank values. Google breaks down your site and shows you how your site's PageRank is distributed in a range of low, medium, high - and "not yet assigned." Since this information is useful, it is often daunting to most pages on most sites will always so low on the scale of PageRank.
