 Is Twitter Killing Link Bait
What are your thoughts on the latest video by Rand Fishkin of SEO Moz. He talks about how twitter is pretty much eating up the links in terms of SEO since more people are tweeting instead posting things in their blog. See the Video here: http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2010/ ... -new-links

actually, tweeting is more convenient. You can do it anywhere i.e via mobile phones. Its easier in simple.

Re: Is Twitter Killing Link Bait
I gotta agree with "Action" on this one. "Liking" and "Tweeting" just seems much easier and it still gets the word around.

Re: Is Twitter Killing Link Bait
Twitter may be killing Link bait but it is also giving a lot more trends for bloggers to post about. So I think its a good trade. Links for trends.

Phenomenal has got a point there. Where it is taking some thing away, its giving something as well. The needs are still being fulfilled.

I also agree with what Action is trying to say but i am not quite convinced yet. Twitter may be more convenient but that does not mean that it is the best way to go.

Re: Is Twitter Killing Link Bait
Twitter is not killing link bait. Instead, it is updating the whole flow of the keyword trend. There are some keywords which wither in weeks, while there are some which stay for years. The more keywords the blogger tweets, the greater is his/ her contribution to the trend.

Re: Is Twitter Killing Link Bait
Yes, link bait is not just finished, the people who think that tweeting is better for them. The trends are changing. But the soul need is being fulfilled. The thing is, people adopt what they think is more convenient for them, and tweeting in cumming in because its a new trend and people are adopting it.
