 why youtube videos rank so well? hi guys, as i believe you all noticed that youtube ranks so well on many many keywords, so is it because it belongs to google hence have special advantages or simply because many site links to its videos?
can this help increase my rankings and traffic? thanks.

Re: why youtube videos rank so well? Youtube videos rank well because Google owns Youtube, but that doesn't mean they will not give youtube a penalty like they did to Chrome recently. However, that is the primary reason youtube videos rank well in Google, since this is a Google forum.

It is one of the most preferable platform of users for video uploading and for searching videos. So any new information, ads or anything which can be presented with would available first on youtube than other websites. It has millions of videos which interlinks each other which is the best strength of its videos to be get ranked higher.

Re: why youtube videos rank so well? While comparing to video hosting sites such as MetaCafe, Veoh, Youtube is a lot more well established and reputable with consistent up-time and it has been the favourite for as long as I can remember. Youtube videos ranks well in Google too.
